How We Train:

At k9to5 we use science based methods to teach your dog the appropriate behaviors first. positive reinforcement is our primary training method as that is the best way for a dog to learn and hold the information. eventually we will add in corrections that are based on your dogs sensitivity level and your comfort level as the owner. every dog is different and we train all dogs based on how they learn best! our goal is to always teach you how to have the best communication with your dog.

About Jacqui

Jacqui Pierce has always been an animal lover and began training dogs in 2001. She graduated from UNH in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and a minor in animal behavior, and worked as a veterinary technician 2007-2018. She is a graduate of the acclaimed Triple Crown Academy for Dog Trainers (now known as Starmark Academy), with a certification in Canine Training and Behavior Modification. She is also a Certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.

Jacqui's specialties are Search and Rescue training, Scent Detection Training and Service Dog Training.

Jacqui uses many techniques to train your dog including play and clicker training. She works to figure out what motivates your dog to want to work with you and build on that drive. Every dog is different, like with humans, you just have to figure out what they enjoy.

Jacqui will help you to work on your timing with your dog to improve the communication. She will also help you work on being consistent with your dog. These will, in turn, improve your relationship.

Every dog needs mental stimulation, physical exercise and communication to lead a happy and healthy life. Our goal is to help you meet those requirements and live peacefully with your dog.
